Just me Tango and Splash again

yep you know how i was saying that a new cat was coming?  Not happening now as the living arrangement didnt work out.  So just me and Tango and Splash now.  Ive been trying to equalise the weights of the cats too as Tango is too fat and Splash is too thin.  Its much better than what it was but the idea of making Tango climb over several fences to get to the food needs to continue.  Still getting the raw food from just down da road.... works well.  Also got these raw treats as well... you know... for enticing cats out of the house when all they wanna do is hide and be naughty?  yep works a treat... especially for splash as its ready to eat and i can give one to her when Tango isnt around.

anyway the kitten names for SPL2 just to recap

Marley: Black male who resides at a workmates place ( not Andrea). have yet to visit him.

Chuckie: Grey male who resides at funstation (Andreas place). 

Cash: Ginger male at funstation. Can be held like a baby.

Tango: Fiesty ginger male at retard house... very naughty boy.

Tango and Splash playfighting lots

yep allways at it them two... still chillin in da backyard. Splash as you know has been desexed but no such plans to get Tango done. Got Splash done out of necessity cos of the pregnency strain on her if she has too many litters... not to mention the strain on the relationship with the neighbours as they often whinged about the kittens once they reached that 3 months.  Retard house is now communal again and a chance of another cat arriving in the future... stay tuned. Been a while since ive visited the funstation where Chuckie and Cash live. and i havent visited Marley yet.

there are plenty... but just to recap... both cats are doing well... ive had them inside as of late to play in the RUBBISH that im sorting out in order to clean the place for flatties to move in... oh and rumours are that they are bringing a cat teehee

Both cats healthy now

Tango is over his catflu and despite initial fears that splash had it shes doin fine now... both are eating well again and of course both are outside... the only time i let em inside is when its a cold night.... and its not too bad tonite so they stayin outside. Heard scarface about an hour ago but the other cat that makes the coughing noises hasnt been seen for a while. It seems too that Whiskers has stayed away which isnt surprising cos she only started making appearences when Splash was at funstation. So no surprises that shes stayed away with the return of Splash and then of course Tango. Foodwise theyre still being fed the raw animal cubes that are sold just down the street from my place... chatted with a friend the other day and they live down the line on a lifestyle block which has its fair share of possums... this of course could be an ifeal source of food for my cats... and good target practice with my crossbow and later on maybe even an air rifle... add in a powerful blender and i can make my own catfood... c what happens

Sniffles for one.... maybe both

Ok Tango has been getting over a bout of sniffles etc... possibly cat flu... which can be dangerous so hes been inside amd sleeping most of the time... hes back eating though which is a good sign. of course he isnt completely healed yet and of course Splash is fully aware of the fact that hes sick and gives him the marching orders whenever he ventures too close.... unfortunately its may have been all in vsin as it looks like Splash too may have contracted the illness... so she will be inside too just incase. they are both currently outside atm as they both seem to be eating.

Cats loving the playland

for them it is a playland... yep the matresses i got from the funstation.... which of course is Andreas place. Well they love the mattresses... they climb all over them and sleep on the top kf them... infact splash is up there as i write this. they can also access the huge beam i have at my place.... the mascularium... formerly known as the retard house and the fortress. Tango is currently outside atm.... i mite trial inside feeding for splash cos it looks like Tango is eating more than his fair share of kai so he can go get his own if he wants seconds as he getting a fattie.... splash needs fattening up so ill get her to eat inside and then ill immediately put her outside. Another reason for inside feeding is that we have a NEW visitor here.... a grey and black cat that makes coughing noises.... looks like another stray.... dunno gender but if its a male then im glad i got splash fixed.  No rumbles to speak of despite all the Toms that frequent my place (mmmm it seems that cats too know that this place is the mascularium... the man cave)... with the exception of course being tango and splash arguing over stuff.... tango prob still thinks hes entitled to mothers milk haha... splash giving him his marching orders teehee.  Anyway ill show u some pics of the setup in the living room... it also doubles as a playground for me and occasionally mates but for 95% of the time its used by the cats... will upload pics at a later date.

TANGO HAS GONE MISSING

Ok Tango was last seen in my back yard this arvo after i finished work.... i had a bit of a sleep and havent seen him since... now Splash is also here and sent her out to look for him. It is now night and the weather is stormy.  Im hoping that Tango may be hiding under the house but i havent seen any trace of him for several hours now.

NAMES?

Yes looks like we have names for SPL2.  Ok firstly there have been a few changes.... Eva has decided not to have a kitten now as she has a dog at her place.  Secondly Andrea has decided to keep two of them.  Workmate Mark has allready taken the black kitten and named him Marley.  Andrea is gonna name the grey kitten Chucky and the two gingers Tango and Cash.  Now shes keeping Cash and Chucky and Tango and SPLASH are gonna be a mother and son crime fighting team taking out the vermin around my place teehee.

Now the only thing stopping the move of Tango and Splash is of course finding a place that does homeopathic desexing... Andreas looking that one up and once the desexing is sorted then Splash and Tango are coming to mine.  In the meantime im helping her with the food for the clan.  The other option of course is her coming over here now and i desex her at the vets the normal way... but we gonna research this other option first... so at least we tried.  Me and Andrea both agree that two litters per cat is enuf... as does Emma with her cats.

Speaking of which Emma has moved out of mine but shes finally moved into the place where she was hanging out all the time... she was gonna stay at Evas where she may have been able to have a cat... but Grand Central has enuf animals there and no room for more.  this new litter SPL2 has a nickname... the postie litter... and we havent ruled out kitten parties as we all know each other as we work together in the same mail team.

names for kittens

Still waiting in eva but Andreas even thinking of jumping the gun and keeping grey and a ginger. That means ill take home Splash and a Ginger. Andrea has named the gingers Tango and Cash. Ill keep the name for which ever kitten i get.... if i get Cash then that will be interesting as it rhymes with Splash hehe. there is an outside chance that Emma (who has moved into Evas place) will take a kitten along with Eva but so far no word from her or Eva... even Andrea hasnt heard... hence the plan to give me Splash and Cash teehee

Blake taken?

Ok we have unnofficial reports that our workmate Mark has allready come to Dreas place to big up the black kitten aka BLAKE... well thats my name for him anyway.. cos blake is similar to black lmao.

I havent been to Dreas place for a while so cant confirm this.

As far as im aware Eva has yet to pick up Grey (no lets not call it greg lmao)... i wonder if Stipe has names for them that i can use to identify them on here... as no idea as to what Eva, Mark etc are gonna call them.  as for who the etc is... well thats another majical happening.  Im keen on taking one plus Splash.  Caleb has also shown interest but needs parental consent.  Another possibility is Emma as she is planing on moving out of my place and finding a place of her own... in the meantime i guess the kitten could stay at mine until she moves out taking a ginger with her.  Also depends on the verdict with Caleb.

Major changes

Ok as you may be aware Splash is currently at the funstation... Andreas place.  Now the plan was for her to stay there as Andrea was keen on having her but now shes changed her mind and Splash will eventually be returning to mine... aka the Retard House.  Now as for SPL2 their future is also up in the air as Andrea doesnt want a kitten either... she did before.  So far we have one confirmed taker for the black kitten... a workmate is keen. Eva as far as im aware is also keen but no confirmation on that and to be honest Andrea and her can arrange that one. Eva has expressed interest in the grey kitten.... which leaves the two gingers.  Now my friend and fellow tourettes sufferer Caleb has also expressed interest but i need confirmation by his PARENTS before i say yes.  Now that leaves one ginger... and he can come home with me :p... so HOPEFULLY that will work and then i wont have to invoke trademe again and better still i know all the ppl who have the kittens so we can arrange for kitten parties hehe... maybe lol.

Now as for the desexing of Splash im waiting for Andrea to get back to me about the natural desexing place she was talking about. As she has more time than me it would be wiser if Splash was desexed whilst still at hers.. dunno how much this socalled "less invasive" method costs but i do know that the normal method costs about $150.  When she comes back to mine i will basically take her strait to the vets if she hasnt allready been done... as two litters is enuf imo.... thats the accepted rule amoungst the cats that have been at mine... Emma did that with hers as well.

I dont see any problems arising with the neighbours in regards to two cats at mine.... weve had two cats there before without any problems.... remember there will only be ONE kitten... and its the KITTENS that cause the problems... and like humans young animals are at there worst behavour when they are with their peers... this one will be alone... mums well behaved and the neighbours are ok with one kitten... infact they hope that i DO bring one back home... and they love Splash... so this has worked out well so far... so heres hoping that Caleb and Eva are keen.

L5 aka SPL2 mostly on solids

ok yes indeed i think all the kittens are eating solids now... no names yet as to be honest we dont know where they are heading... ive decided to name my kitten Dennis as a joke cos thats the name of Andreas grumpy friend who doesnt like me one little bit... but i mite just call him MENACE instead... it looks like im gonna get a ginger kitten asMark my workmate is keen on the grey one... there is an OUTSIDE chance i may get two and an OUTSIDE chance i may not get any... especially if i have to get trademe involved.

kittens are on the verge of eating solids but as yet no evidence of them doing so. i occasionally visit them ... usually twice a week. as you may be aware i will be taling one of them back to retard house... where they were born

yep thats right they are very close to eating solids.... infact i got word that Splash has been trying to get thr grey one to eat solids.... of course as you know the action starts when kittens eat solids... they seem to transform into play machines.... no real play from these guys yet though.

CATFREE

Ok for the first time in over a year there are no cats at my place... so where have they gone? the funstation aka Andreas place... they seem all good over there and in a months time we will start rehoming them... we allready have a few ppl interested... including Eva. Andreas flatmate is also keen on having one... the black one. Andrea has adopted Splash and will he fully hers once we rehome the kittens. I havent ruled out having one for myself... may even take two to avoid giving any away to outsiders... but ill only go down that path if we have trouble rehoming them

Yep splash and her kittens (SPL2) are heading to Andreas place (the fun station) on thursday.  Ok Andreas place where the crash pads are (hence the name funstation) is also FUN for cats being by an estuary so great for cats to explore.  However with the exception of the ones her and her flatmate wanna keep i will be rehoming the others once they have been weaned.  Maybe a bit later... between 1 and 2 months old to allow for them to FULLY be on solids... and also to allow for the bond to weaken between them and mom (Splash).  At one month i remember Angel was a wreck so yeah prob 6 weeks... before they lose their "cute" factor in regards to kids

A SURPRISE

Ok there IS a second litter... stumbled upon Splash caring for her notsonewborns this morning in the closet of my flatmates room. So yes we have another litter of 4 hehe

I HAVE SOME BAD NEWS

The other day Splash went awol and stayed away most of the day and night... the following morning ahe returned with a worrying sign... she was much skinnier. I think she misscarried and knew it and went off to jettison the dead cargo... i was wondering why she wasnt eating much... youd think that a pregnant cat would eat more but she wasnt... and now i know why. No bodies yet and the reason is prob cos she hid them way out of sight. im not taking any action in the meantime... just incase shes raising them elsewhere... after feeding today her teets were full... dunno how the female system works but in the Lion kingdom the cycle of the Loiness resets when her cubs die and shes in heat again.... which is why after a takeover the new male kills the resident cubs... so he can get his own genepool crackin asap. dunno if it affects her milk producing cycle but i guess ill know for sure if after a few weeks she stops producing milk... and thats the time ill choose to have her fixed

sleeping atm i think shes aware of the fact that her first litter (which was really pissing her off) isnt here anymore. i still need to list them on trademe btw as they are at a friends place and with her being off work atm its a great time cos ppl can come and look during the day... gonna be much harder once she goes back to work so this injury of hers could very well work in our favour

All kittens rehomed

All of SPL1 litter have been rehomed... someone came and picked up the two gingers earlier on today.

So now the focus is all on Splash and her second litter which is still yet to be born. SPL2 may stay at mine or may go to Andreas with Splash... depends on several factors

2 grey kittens have been rehomed

a testiment to the effectiveness of trademe the two Grey kittens have been rehomed which means that the two ginger kittens remain... and they could end up staying if the buyer expected tomorrow doesnt eventuate.  Andrea and her flatmate are keen on keeping both gingers... but nothings final yet.  And looks like splash could be heading over there too... once her second litter has been rehomed.

BUSH TUCKER and another enquiry

Ok got me some bush tucker ie ROAD tucker for splash... if she doesnt eat it then ill take it to the kittens.  At she isnt eating much... waiting for bubbas to pop... which still hasnt happened... currently shes chilling in the hallway about 3 metres from me.

After the first person failed to show up we had another person express interest in the grey kittens but so far just an interest... didnt give out details or a good time to come over yet.  The ad lasts for 2 weeks... if no joy then we will prob have a break and feed them using alternate means... for me that means catching cicadas and the odd bit of roadkill... Andrea gets the main food which is from a raw cat food place.  Me, Andrea and her flatmate are thinking of sharing the costs of the food process.  If we keep em for much longer we are also thinking of doing the unthinkable... snip snip... andrea reckons its better for the boys to be done as its less invasive than the girls... but leaving the girls undone still leaves them open to advances from stray cats... which are nearly allways toms.  This is why im gonna get splash done after this litter.  But first it has to be born.

Splash gone walkabouts again

normally i dont worry but when shes this close to popping im quite surprised she did... and its cooled down quite a bit as well... i would imagine that it would be better to have kittens im the relative warmth of the retard house... which is known for its high temps. but anyway she half ate her food and i havent seen her at all this morning

BORN TODAY?

As mentioned on facebook SPL2 could be born today. Splash has been in that position under the table for quite a while now and is on her side. I brought up her litters all by myself SPL1 was cared for bu me... Emma who still lives here but is nearly allways elsewhere did occasionally visit but i think the replusiveness of the retard house aka MASCULARIUM was enuf to keep her away as this time it wasnt her cat that had them... any way SPL1 aka L4 is now at Andreas place... a much better place for them. SPL2 aka L5 will also be heading over there along with Splash once SPL1 have all been rehomed.

it will be interesting if she decides to have her litter here. This is out of the way and pretty safe... i allways like guessing where shes gonna have her babies... this is the last litter she will have. Emma let her cats have two and i decided to let splash have the same. I remember about this time last  year i was trying to get her into the cat box so she could get fixed but she put up a heck of a fight so i decided to let her have her two litters. 

As mentioned before allways exciting when the babies are gonna be born.... numbers, colors, genders and of course place of birth. i didnt witness SPL1 being born... infact of the five litters ive had here at RH (retard house) i only witnessed one being born and that was ANG1 im october 2011... both me and Stipe witnessed the births... ANG1 aka L2 was a litter that we named after the flatties at da time... which of course was Mark, Emma and Aston. Stipe moved out before we named the kittens... 3 males and 1 female... the excess male was named batman due to his face markings. I partly witnessed ANG2 aka L3 being born... didnt witness the females being born but witnessed the lone male Cookie aka Piglet being born in my room an hour after the ladies (catwoman, katie and whiskers). For the record Whiskers and Katie are still around here somewhere and ive seen Katie around several times.

BUSH TUCKER

Ok me and Andrea been checking out that place that sells raw cat food.... basically bush kill like possums n stuff. Anyway Andrea got some the other day to feed the kittens (which are at hers) and also got some for splash... who of course is still at mine. As you know we are giving the 4 month old kittens away... hopefully will have move success once i finally sort my trademe account. in the meantime Splash is gonna remain here.  The first cube is thawing out in her bowl now but as yet she hasnt made any real effort to eat it.... also supplimenting her diet with the remaining food i have plus the odd cicada... which is prob quite filling as insects are packed with protein... they are basically all muscle. 

As for Splash... i reckon she could have her second litter whilst im on hols.... next 7 days. but yea Splash will eventually be moving to Andreas... leaving my place (retard house) to be cat free.... however  i will be documenting the happs with friends pets... especially on my main website.... anyway welcome to all of you who have come here cos of my facebook link and yes this is THE place to keep up to date on splashes pregnancy

YEP UP DA DUFF

Second time in 6 months... and i personally think the litter will be born in March as shes looking quite bloated. She hasnt been around today despite the other litter being at my mates place. Plenty of food here for her... both the processed stuff which lasts ages... an the "bush tucker" which of course does NOT.   My friend Andrea whos place the kittens have gone to knows a place that allegedly sells proper food like possum which they shoot (now DOC why cant we ALL do this? ffs we aint all murderers... we can be trusted with guns). im refering to their continued use of poisons to control "pests" like possums... um not

pests they are DINNER thankyou very much. Anyway i wont go on any more about the evils of the system but you can check out my other blogs and of course my website and my FB page where i rant ALOT about the system, society and ppl in general. Anyway not to be outdone i think its time to get my own bushtucker... and what better place to get it than on a country road... allready flattened with the guts hangin out.... TASTY. Anyway here is a pic of me preparing a succulent dish for the special lady in my life... rat a la carte

All is well again

Splash turned up about a day after she went missing. Ok now incase you are wondering what i feed my minions... i usually feed em 4 main items....

basics catfood.... best bang for ya buck i can find... good for keeping pukus and wallets full

houndlog..... allways fun watching them tearing into this giant piece of sausage... designed for both dogs and cats.... another good option in terms of value for money.

kitten food..... more expensive then then the basics catfood but good for the occasinal nutrient boost that mite be lacking with just plain calories

cat biscuits....  the ones i get are designed for kittens and nursing/pregnant mums... also good for teeth and lasts much longer in the summer than meat... just make sure you put out plenty of water as biscuits are quite dry.

i occasionaly do other options too and are exploring live food... especially once i get the blender going.... obviously then more i can persuade the cats to take bush tucker like rats and birds the cheaper it is for me and the better it is for them as well ... no chemicals in birds and rats.

Also considered fishing as well.... using my kayak... me and my mate aston could head out and catch food. the laws however have made it confusing in regards to quotas.... obviously in an attempt to impliment agenda 21 by making us buy from shops as opposed to catching our own.

Another option of course is right infront of me... on a country road... ROADKILL..... now if i can get my cats to eat that.... the guts hanging out should make it look more appetising... i could save a lot of money on catfood. 

However i want my cats to be good hunters... and making themselves useful at eating pests around my house
